Dearly beloved, we are gathered here at this drag strip...
It takes a special spouse to share with their significant other the love (and high costs) of drag racing. When Shawn Daigle and Avalanche Andrews were engaged at the New England Dragway, they decided that the high-speed strip was also the best place for a romantic wedding ceremony. The two die-hard drag racers exchanged vows on October 28 during a test and tune session, then the couple raced down the strip in their vehicles of choice.
In the end Avalanche's Grape Crusher" wagon was no match for her new hubby's "Devil's Eye" Buick, but we'd say Shawn won twice for finding a woman that loves to drag race as much as he does. Avalanche, however, gets a husband that shares her high-speed enthusiasm, but at the cost of possibly changing her kick-ass name to Avalanche Daigle. Advantage: Shawn.
Thanks for the tip, Andy!
