UPDATE: Woops. We switched the Foose Flex with the Funkmaster Flex2. The post has been updated to show the correct vehicle.

Funkmaster Flex made his debut last year at SEMA with a customized Expedition, and he's bringing what Ford calls "urban luxury" to the show again with the Flex2. In an awkward mix of hip hop culture and pr market lingo, the Master of Funk states that "I know what this vehicle is going to be in the urban market: It's going to be killer! Whether you're flossin' with your friends, going to the club or riding around with your girl, the Ford Flex is the next urban street vehicle, and Flex2 is my interpretation of the ultimate in street luxury."
The Flex actually has a pretty clean design, with a two-tone paint scheme and faux-brushed aluminum roof. Fender vents, grilles and a spoiler that comes from 3d Carbon. The Flex2 is lowered one inch from the standard car's height and rides on 22-inch forged rims. Inside are custom seats with Katzkin seat covers and stainless steel color stitching. DVD systems are also mounted in the headrests in the first and second rows. Click on the photo or the thumbnails below to view live shots from the show.

I like it alot(i'm a xB rev1 owner tho, so obviously) but it's a good 7k over priced.
Want a crappy ford interior w/awd? $31k
Want a crappy leather ford interior w/awd, poor mileage on an unproven motor? $39k
sorry, but you can get a fully loaded passat wagon 3.6 awd for $39k, and while admittingly that may be a bit overpriced, the passat's a luxury car compared to this. (and it has the 3rd highest resale value of all cars)

I love how people bash this thing. I will agree it looks somewhat like a larger xB. But it looks pretty damn good in person. And to whoever said this thing has as much luxury as a Taurus, I will admit, the interior on this thing alone blows the Taurus/Taurus X's interior out of the water. Luckily for Ford, I think they are making that silver trim on the hatch optional. Plus, you can get the roof the same color as the rest of the vehicle.
For those who say this thing won't sell, you may be wrong. If you haven't noticed, CUVs are selling. And this thing is no different than a Pilot or GM's Lambda triplets.
I personally would cough up the extra couple grand and buy this over the Taurus X.
Oh and the comment on Mullaly, give the man a chance and some time.

Ha HA the future of the ford minivan looks great wish they kept the star moniker.Could be something like flexstar or the aeroflex would be cool.

Ick. So is the current trend to get some 20"+ wheels and a hip hop or b-baller star and have them try to convince people your car isn't really that ugly?
