I'm hoping more manufactuers start making sport-performing 7-passenger wagons. We are a family of 6 and drive an Armada. I would love to have something sporty to drive.

Unfortunately that's not likely anytime soon, the way the CAFE rules are written a 7 seat station wagon is subject to the same economy standards as a 2 door 4 passenger compact car.
Add a bunch of arbitrary weight and ride height and you get to call it a "Crossover SUV" and it gets a pass even though it's mileage is actually lower due to the weight and poor aerodynamics.
This is the entire reason SUVs became popular as passenger vehicles in the 1980s, automakers were unwilling and/or unable to make large cars that got sufficient mileage (profitably at least) so they marketed and sold us SUVs instead regardless of the fact that the SUVs were much less safe and WAY less fuel efficient than the large cars.
