First pic of Fisker plug-in hybrid luxury car released

Here we have the first image of the upcoming plug-in hybrid luxury car from Fisker set to debut at this year's Detroit Auto Show in January. Developed in conjunction with Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, the plug-in hybrid will cost around $100,000 and initially be built in a run of just 100 units. Fisker hasn't given out any details on the car, like how much power it will produce or what its fuel economy will be, but from the picture above we can tell it will be a stunner. That's not surprising, as the company's namesake, Henrik Fisker, designed such cars as the BMW Z8, Aston Martin DB9 and V8 Vantage, among others. Though the image is small, we can make out design elements from many other high-end autos including a Ferrari 599-esqe front end, some Maserati Quattroporte in the midsection and, of course, a little Aston in the rear. Check back here in January for some solid info on what this car's all about.

I didn't know Aston Martin ever produced an SB9... I guess it must be for their iconic former owner, Savid Brown.
minimal editing before posting would be nice you know...

Minimal comments from the peanut gallery would be nice too. But we can't always get what we want. I get so tired of the people that come onto blogs just to point out spelling errors. Once you get a degree in english composition and prove to us that you don't make mistakes, and then get a job as the chief critic of this blog then maybe these comments will be called for. But until then...

Good, now fulfill the other two steps and I'll shut up.

"would be nice you know..."
A shame that, having a Ph. D., you missed a "," and a "?".
Not being a moron should be nice, you know...?

The rear ent is very Camaro-ish, especially w/ the rear quarter panel cokebottle flare. The front end seems to emulate the Ferrari 599 and Maserati GT.

It might be a "Tesla Promise", but it looks much prettier and much more usable. So if both cars are ever produced. I feel that Fisker's car will be the more influential on the public at large.

Wow, I thought that was a two door, but I now can barely see the door line break, and it is a four-door.
Sexy as hell for a sedan, that is for sure.

I was just thinking this morning: what if Jaguar (a block XJ had just driven by) had hired Henrik Fisker to do the new XJ?
There's your answer. And Ford would be making money now off Jaguar instead of trying to sell it for pocket change.

Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide and Henrik Fisker (Fisker Coachbuild, LLC/Fisker Automotive, Inc.) Wow! I am pleasently surprise with the designs (stunning lines for a performance sedan.) Very interesting approach for a legendary automotive designer to implement a plug in-hybrid.
Recently, there been a lot of debates, research and developments on which options of alternative fuels/hybrids/fuel cell technology is best suitable for today's vehicles. Though each alternative options has it's merits...I believe what's most important is to figure out which alternative options is best suited-(has the most impact) for our environments. The more electricity we use the more co2 we produce...hmmm interesting. Economics is also a significant factor.
I believe when designing vehicles with alternative fuels/hybrids/fuel cell/solar technology; the vehicles may require lighter, stronger, smarter chassis components and elements...
Very Interesting approach from Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide and Henrik Fisker (Fisker Coachbuild, LLC/Fisker Automotive, Inc.)
