There are plenty of BMW M3 coupes driving around the web, but the newly announced sedan is a much rarer bird, indeed. The four-door M3 is mechanically the same as its coupe sibling, with its 4.0L V8 engine and six speed manual transmission. And from the A-pillar forward, the two Ms are nearly identical. The pair of souped-up 3-Series also have a lot of differences, starting with the door count and ending with the sedan's steel rather than carbon fiber roof, the latter of which helps the four-door tip the scales at over 3,500 lbs.

As most of of the new rears of the BMW's are ugly at first, I got used to seeing them and they grew on me.

Looks much, much sharper than the M3 Coupe, IMHO.
The coupe has very soft swooping lines, but the Sedan is great!

Just wondering: is this the road in the Gran Turismo HD demo for PS3? Looks familiar.

I dont know guys!
The front look great!
but the body is ugly!
I don't think that it will grow on me. THe same thing with new 5 series body. I still like the older 3 series and 5 series body. Bimmer just doesn't stand out anymore.

"Bimmer just doesn't stand out anymore"
Are you kidding me. Bmw has the most unique desing of all.Everybody is copying them. The 5 series is selling at record numbers unlike MB and Audi. The 3 series is the best looking car in its class and still the leader in that category.

New Bimmer doesn't cut for me either. I used to have X5 and loved the car. Used to love to drive my friend's 540M. New 3 & 5 geometry is not for me. Both look really funny with low profiles.
