The front is more similar to the NA Maxima/Altima design language however.

Given that the SE Asia Teana/Maxima and NA Maxima share platforms, this concept could very well be for both. The word intimate can be used as a verb "to suggest" i.e., the concept intimates the new Maxima. The current NA Maxima sells at roughly 70K units per year, which I would think becomes a difficult position to justify a stand alone exterior and interior design. The Teana is also more luxury that the NA Maxima - think Avalon, which is where the new NA Maxima is likely going (and may cause me to go to a G8 instead).

DDL

Comments on Tokyo 2007 Preview: Nissan Intima concept

I'm calling this the 'Maxima Stretch Edition'

Hope it's RWD this time round

importjap

Comments on Tokyo 2007 Preview: Nissan Intima concept

Yeah, I'm having a hard time figuring out whether this is a predictor for the next Maxima or for the next Infiniti Q45

Jruhi4

Comments on Tokyo 2007 Preview: Nissan Intima concept

Very nice concept. Clean looks, nice lines. Love the interior. I really wish manufacturers would change current car seats to more something like these in here. It's like they can't get away from the same old, same old in current cars. I am digging this Nissan design (the little accessories however are a bit cheesey, but I guess the ladies would like them)

Atomicbri

Comments on Tokyo 2007 Preview: Nissan Intima concept

Am I the only one who sees a bit of MB CLS63 in that rear profile?

Justin

Comments on Tokyo 2007 Preview: Nissan Intima concept

If FWD, I would guess Maxima. Other than the steal of the Mercedes rear clip, this is such an Avalon concept steal, it could be badged Toyota. Nice to see the Japanese copy their own country-mate's design rather than other countries' marques distinguished look. There really ought to be a copywrite law just placed on Japan automakers.
