Top Gear provides some Monday morning "hair of the dog"

For those of us who just can't get enough of Jeremy, James and the Hamster (and, of course, the Stig) there is now even more to be had. As the new season kicks off this weekend in Britain, (when do we get the new episodes here?) the Top Gear website will be adding a bunch of extra content on Monday mornings after the show airs on Blighty TV. Look for outtakes, new blogs from the presenters, and extra behind-the-scenes content. Apparently, the in-studio News segment is not usually accomplished in a single live take. Whoda thunk it! The News Uncut segment features the bits that don't get aired.

According to Top Gear producer Andy Wilman’s blog post on the website, it will be delayed to Tuesday because it couldn't be done in time.

Sam, you mean there will be posts on the Top Gear blog from the presenters, right? The whole "new blogs from the presenters" thing -- that's got to be just a copy/paste/edit issue, right? Because I'd hate for a blogger to not get the difference between a "blog" and a "blog post."

Tonights episode was top! But I'm surprised at the amount of bleeping, and they were allowed to leave the 'pulling off at the services' comments. Did enjoy the digs @ the BBC paranoia going on at the moment though.

Friendly Reminder
BBC posts up all the Top Gear shows as bittorent downloads. The new show went up today at 4PM, I just started to download it.

Contrary to what our friend above may lead you to believe - BBC has nothing to do with Finalgear.com

Oops. For the record, I did not intend to mislead. I incorrectly made an association between Final gear and the BBC based on an earlier Autoblog article.

What an episode! Wow! The notion of romanticizing the driving pleasure evoked from mountain roads w/o traffic and law enforcement, and the scenery! Amazing. News bit was very funny...so Clarkson can multitask every way imagineable. lol

Unfortunatelly, Top Gear hasn't changed a bit compared to last season so they still have just one car test. I don't know about others, but i don't give a damn about a perfect driver's roads in south of france....no matter how funny those three guys are.

Fantastic. Each season is better than the last. I finally have something to look forward to this winter.

The show as always is excellent it completely blows out Fifth Gear by a lot !
It's sad that Clarkson makes despising comments about people from outside the UK when the show has a great audience all over the world (people in South America are always on drugs ????). There are limits in his ranting where it stops being funny.

For those of us on the other side of the pond, get the episode info and find out where to download it at www.tvkal.com . Good episode... Loved the W12 Golf!
