Nissan GT-R microsite launches
On October 24, the latest chapter in Nissan's storied GT-R history will officially kick off with the unveiling of the new Nissan GT-R at the Tokyo Motor Show. To help ramp up excitement (as if the barely-disguised prototypes snapped taking shots at Porsche's Nurburgring records haven't done that enough this week), the official Nissan GT-R website has been launched, and as you can see above, there's a countdown clock available for download. To help keep you entertained as you (im)patiently await the big reveal in Japan, Nissan has clickable images of each iteration of the GT-R on the site which give you factoids to mull over in the meantime.
Autoblog will be in Tokyo to cover it all in person for you. 28 days to go, kids.

The Autoblog blogger job is gazing at cars and then writing 10 lines about it. You guys travel all around the world for that. Where i can i signup? Do i have to kiss up to John Neff :) ?

Kissing up to Neff certainly won't hurt your cause, Vivek.

ack!
How come there's no Canada? Where's the English | French choice?
First we get raked over in car costs, now a GT-R slight? (Not that I could buy one...its the principle!)

Is Canadan French different from French French?
You people from Canadia want so much.
next thing you know Canadia wants its own German web site.
Those Canadan Germans got some nerves...

I was hoping for English | Klingon language choice. I bet many potential buyers speak it!

Like some movie countdowns, you should have this in the corner somewhere or a an ad at the top of the screen so peopleknow when this car comes to Tokyo, instead of scrolling through countless pages to find it. The car is coming to the U.S., isn't it?

Oh yeah... I'm thinking about selling some organs to buy it. That way when I die in a high-speed crash, it'll eliminate the need to cut through the twisted metal to find my (probably) damaged organs. j/k :D

lol I already beat you in the selling organs department, too bad they only offered $40,000 for my kidney...But since I live in Canada the GT-R will cost like $300,000.
Accepting bids for left testicle on EBAY now...

I hope to God Donny wasn't being serious about Canadian French/English! We get enough of that crap here already without having to find it on an Automobile Blog!

Hey sports car guys and gals. Remember the Datsun 2000 Roadster? How about the first Z-car? If these names remind you of the good old days (before radar traps) then you must see the new GT-R. Nissan is back on top!
