Wow, way to spread misinformation, Autoblog. Just about every word of this article is wrong.
1) 'Prologue' isn't a demo, it's a slimed-down version of the final game. Prologues have been available for Gran Turismo in Japan in the past and have generally run around 3,000-4,000 Yen, so this is nothing new for them.
2) The prices you quote are conversions from the Japanese prices - which historically are higher than North American ones. NA pricing has not been announced yet.
3) There will be a free demo for Prologue available in October that people can download for, well, free.
4) GT5 is *not* coming in December - Prologue is. GT5 does not have a release date yet, but it is expected sometime in 2008.
