Neither Daniel Craig nor his latest avatar made an appearance at the Frankfurt Auto Show, but that's all right. If we had a choice of meeting Bond or his car in person, we'd have to go with the car. And there it was, the DBS, "the ultimate luxury sports car," lurking in Aston's area. Beneath the sculpted, vented snout are twelve cylinders that snarl out 510 HP and 420 lb-ft. Power gets from motor to road via two pairs of 20-inch wheels, and you'll get from 0-60 in 4.3 seconds, all the way to a leisurely 191 mph. Which is just fast enough to enjoy a Vesper Lynd before you've really got to start concentrating on the road. The question with the DBS isn't "Are you man enough?", but rather "Are you gentleman enough?" All yours for $265,000. Plus tax, of course.
For full specs on the DBS go here. And be sure to check out the gallery of hi-res pics.

I would SO take this over an F430...

I love this car.
Quattroporte @ Sep 12th 2007 12:33PM
I too would take it over a Ferrari (maybe I should change my user name), but for that price I still think it should have more POWER!!!
Alex @ Sep 12th 2007 2:58PM
Agreed, needs more power, but give AM's new owners a little time. They are still working with engines from AM's Ford days. Ford has its reputation for sticking superchargers on all of their underpowered engines to make them competitive. I'm sure the boys (and girls) at Prodrive are well aware that more power is needed.

i dont like the bumper. its out of proportion. almost looks like some ugly diseased baby with two mouths. other than that I'd love to see aston actually make a car that performs up in its price range better. I mean sure, you are paying for more luxury over, say, F430, but the performance is just not up to scratch for a big v12 in an all alloy shell! you would never logically buy this car, you could only ever buy it knowing you've bought the 2nd or third best car in the range. that, to me, is just not enough to make me love them. not to say i hate them. i just can't make the blind leap of faith aston owners must make...

dont take it as aston bashing, its not, just my thoughts on the matter...

Absolutely stunning!!
My Girlfriend is not into cars at all. last weekend we walked by a parked Vantage. She stopped dead in her tracks and said "that is an absolutely gorgeous car".. I had to pull her away from it.

One of the prettiest cars out there. not a doubt in my mind.
Quattroporte is right though, about 50-100 more hp and it would be super nice.
