Spy Shots: Jet-ified Camo Lambo spotted ... somewhere

Nobody knows what this Lamborghini is, other than "really, really, hot." It's an LP640 with a fighter jet-style camo paint job, complete with rivets and warnings like an arrow reading "HEAT" that points to the exhaust. There's also a red star painted on the hood, which is intriguing because that was used to signify the Russian "Migs" way back when in Top Gun.
A VW Vortex poster claims it's a one-off paint job done on a Lambo in Singapore. The car is right-hand-drive, has a license plate that could be from Singapore, and looks to be sitting in a garage with a couple of Lotuses. Unfortunately, whoever took the pictures seems to have had full access to the car yet neglected to take one pic of the interior. The car even has a call sign written just above its rocker panels. It is, of course: LP640. Can anyone fill in the blanks?

Wow, and I thought people on this site were up-tight.

The description for each pic are hilarious. You can spend a good hour on that site.

According to one of the comments on the blog, it was spotted at Leonie Towers apartments, near the main shopping district (Orchard Road) in Singapore.

YES it is from Singapore. It was featured alongside the 2006 Lamborghini model range, at the local auto show last year. Interestingly enough, this was used as their LP640 representative, so it caused quite a big stir.

No Lambo knowledge, but I can offer a tidbit on those "migs:" MiG wasn't just a nickname, but part of the model designation for Mikoyan-Gurevich jets: MiG-15, MiG-21, and so on. Sukhoi and Yakovlev were among the other major fighter manufacturers.

I think the quotation marks was due to the fact that the filmmakers used all-American T-38s (or F-5s) to double as the "MiG-28".
That said, the sequel (come on, Tom Cruise, it's time) ought to feature real Russian birds, more specifically the Sukhoi S-37 Berkut.

I hate to do it, but as beautiful as the Reventon is, this jet-style LP640 does the opposite for me. It almost screams rice, or since its italian it screams GNOCCHI!

now, is someone going to paint up a Saleen S7 or something with US Air Force, or some other supercar with allied military spec camo, and race this MiG Lambo?
I was thinking that the Reventon needed a more purposeful paint job... Imagine this paint and graphics on that car...
or paint it with a thin coat of stealth-black line-x type rubberized coating, and see if police can clock you with radar or not :D
low reflectivity cross section, and reflection-dispersing angles, indeed.
I wonder if someone will try to design a car inspired by the Lockheed SR-71. All the way down to leaking oil and gas until the friction of the air-speed heats the parts so that they expand and seal up... "Yeah, it's supposed to leave a puddle of 15w-50, it'll seal up at speed!"

Funny.
On the show, Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader, one of the contestants said he would buy a 'camouflaged Lamborghini' if he won a million dollars.

How very tasteless.
I assume that potential owners of this car also have Monto Carlo's with Nascar tribute decals for their not so fair weather transport.
