Car wash worker killed when sucked into brushes
In one of those who-would-have-believed-it accidents, an 18-year-old car wash worker was killed in Michigan when he got pulled into the machinery. Ricardo Martinez was cleaning the equipment at the end of the day with a pressure washer when, somehow, he became entangled in the machinery and received fatal injuries. While we've never really considered what would happen if a person went through a car wash, we didn't think the things were deadly. "Come summer, the work gets kind of hard," indeed.

I'm curious as to how exactly he got "sucked" into the brushes. I remember an episode of either Jackass for Wildboyz where Steve-O went through a carwash on the hood a Cadillac, and he was fine.... or at least as fine as a Jackass member can be.

If he was using a hose while the brushes were spinning, I'm guessing the hose got rapped around a brush.

That's my buddy going through the same style carwash, in Wyoming, near where the incident happened. You would have to really screw up to die in one of those.

There's something about the Autoblog presentation of this tragic event that bothers me.
How can anything humorous be extracted from the death of a human being?

What kind of comment or observation is that as quoted from the Autoblog article?
A little "tongue and cheek" comment about not contemplating how a person would "fair" if they went through a car wash?......I assume minus, being in a vehicle and just bodily going through it?

I didn't know car washes were deadly.
