I like to have choices when shopping for my ~$60k sport truck...which is why I bought a brand new Ford Lightning in 2003 for $30k. So what did they add to get that extra $30k...

Further, someone should lose their career over this. You don't leak confidential information...period! Its neat that the consumer gets to plan out their purchase decisions further ahead of time but business impacts of leaks are huge enough to kill companies.

With equivalent drivers, a stock Gen. 2 Lightning will take a stock SRT-10 RAM at the dragstrip. A supercharged SRT-10 Ram is not stock. The best top speed recorded for a stock SRT is about 5-7 MPH higher than for a Lightning, but how often are you going to go 150 or more in either of them?

Simply because that generation of F-150 platform was discontinued after 2004. The current generation weighs about 500 lbs. more (dumb move on Ford's part!), and Ford decided that it would be too expensive to make a Gen. 3 Lightning that could keep up with the Gen. 2.
