Good question. I have no clue, but it looks like a camera lens of sorts to me. Any ideas, Bimmer fans?

It's stupid active cruise sensor. You need it to use active cruise control. Talk about throwing away 2k.
All around the front looks a tad better but unless they put the car on Jenny Craig, it's still too big and too fat to be fun. I don't miss my 06 330i at all...the car was bland and a piggy.
