Audi bringing two new models to Frankfurt, possibly RS6

Audi's graced our inbox this morning with a press release announcing two new models that are bound for Frankfurt, but didn't disclose any details about what particular vehicles would be gracing the automaker's podium. We already know that the new A4 will be one of them, but what of the other? We doubt that the refreshed S8 deserves inclusion into that duo, and the rumblings around the interwebs point to the new RS6, producing upwards of 600 ponies via a rumored twin-turbo V10. We'll be on hand for the festivities, so as always, watch this space.

I'm looking forward to this car, althought I doubt that the RS6 will make it to the U.S.
More important is the RS5 and next RS4 that surely will make it here and with 450bhp/500lbs torque via a high-reving V8 with Twin Turbos...

I'll bet it's another brand-diluting, super down-market model.
Let's see, the high school kids have the a4, not sure who the a3 is for ... but they don't have a car to service the "old for their grade" jr. high kids who just got their permit ... so perhaps an a1 is in order ?
Just in time for another batch of morons to drive up and rev their little motors at me just because they happen to also have four rings...

After reading your post I hope they come out with a $5000 kia competitor to weed out brand snobs like yourself. If you want to drive a big car to show off how rich you are then so be it, but the real Audi driver's cars are the small ones based on the A3 and A4/5 chasis and the luxo cruisers are the A6 and A8 platforms.

ha! If you really had money you'd own a bentley like I do.

Uhh, the RS6 will cost more than the standard A8 unless of course you are driving the S8 or even more expensive, the A8 W12 that goes off the showroom floor for 130 large...
One things for certain, the RS6 will get to 60mph in under 3.9 seconds and leave every sedan on the market in the rear view.
Sahil 5:23PM (8/30/2007)
Dude, how many high school kids do you know with A4's? Probably not that many. Also, if they have an A4, wouldn't their parents be rich?

Don't be a hypercritical nerd that worries about something as nebulous as brand placement. This isn't engadget.

So, Ryan, you are driving a VW also?
