TMZ, and every other celeb-obsessive site on the web, is reporting that Nick Hogan, son of former WWE superstar Hulk Hogan, is in serious condition after crashing his yellow Toyota Supra in Clearwater, Florida. The crash occurred a little after 7:30 PM tonight, local time, where witnesses say that Nick and his friend were bombing down Court Street when he lost control and slammed into a Jersey barrier. The car spun around, hit a palm tree and was summarily ripped apart.
Both of the occupants were flown in a helicopter to a hospital in St. Petersburg where Nick and his friend are listed in serious and critical condition, respectively.

As a parent I pray that both kids are ok. My heart goes out to both families/
Don @ Aug 27th 2007 3:04PM
Nice, Hulk! Why don't you buy him a Viper to replace it?
mike @ Aug 27th 2007 5:06PM
Yes, I wish him the best and a swift recovery.
But, look at that car, why again are these super cars not built with a FULL Roll Cage and Fire Suppression System?
Because, you're not actually supposed to use the power? You're just supposed to contain yourself with short 2 second bursts of power? Give me a break.
If the car can do 130+ then it should be built to have the driver survive a crash just like NASCAR.
Rob @ Aug 27th 2007 11:32PM
Mike, maybe it's because that would keep the car from selling, since it's a pain to get in and out of. That, and almost any car these days can do about 130mph. Hell, the 1995-1999 Neon ACR could do around 130.

I can't believe some of the hurtful comments people can make at a time like this. I don't personally know the family but love and respect this family. He has raised a family with value and morals that you just don't see this day and age. I'm not one to watch reality shows but because of this I quite enjoy theirs.
I'm very sorry to hear about this situation and hope and pray for the best of both of these boys. I can't imagine what either set of parents are going through right now. God Bless Them!
Thanks for the update Bubba. I didn't hear anything about this on the news but a friend told me about it and I was glad to have found this website containing the news from someone with in site.

HULK RULZZZZZZZ!
nissansupragtr @ Aug 27th 2007 3:23AM
apparently hogan's son is into drifting, and i betya this had something to do with the crash
Chris Bollea @ Aug 27th 2007 4:55AM
Hi all.... this is Chris Bollea... Terry's cousin. Nick is doing well, and he is pretty banged up... The passenger is a good friend John Graziano, he is holding on by a very thin thread... I am going back to check on him in a few. Terry feels responsible for allowing Nick to have these fast cars. I made a comment about giving a teenager a fast car is murder and he slapped me right across my neck (It still stings)... But the truth is the light! Keep both of them in your prayers!
C. Bollea
Rob @ Aug 27th 2007 9:18AM
Sounds like a real asshole, really. He slapped you for saying what everybody else was thinking? Tell him to lay off the roids and take a long hard look in a mirror. Fast cars + inexperienced immature drivers = bad accidents.
There's no way I'd give my kid a twin turbo supra.
Jon C @ Aug 27th 2007 9:27AM
In my prayers.
franco desaint @ Nov 3rd 2007 12:04PM
The Hogans ,on the show are rude and think they are better than everyone else, you all make me sick....go to hell do -not pass go-repent we are all sinners just some worse than others as in this case.all is relevant.
Js @ Aug 27th 2007 5:01AM
I don't know the Hogans personally, so I won't pass judgment on who's fault it is and isn't....
(It's always easy to blame parents, but sometimes kids just make stupid decisions, even if they have been taught better by their folks)
Personally I don't think that raising the age to 18 will make much difference. Here in Europe we have plenty of 18-19-20 and heck even the occasional 45 year old who can't drive to save their lives... Yes, they can turn the wheel and floor the accelerator pedal, but drive ? I think that a driving exam should be more personal and not so standardized... it should involve a psychological element as well, to determine if the person is capable of making good decisions, not just turn left and stop at the red light. Unfortunately that means that a lot of people will never get a driver's license, but that will probably be a good thing.
Anyways, my support goes out to the Hogans and the friend and his family... Hope everything turns out alright.
upirons @ Aug 27th 2007 7:37AM
I hope both of them are okay. I also hope that Nick will think twice about speeding next time. If any good can come of this, Nick will learn his lesson and use his experience and fame to speak to other kids about the danger of speeding.
Petey @ Aug 27th 2007 7:49AM
Reminds me of a similar incident in highschool. Some 17 yr old was given a brand new Corvette for his b-day.. a few weeks later, he wrapped it around a telephone post.
He walked away with a few scrapes while his friend fought for his life for a few days and died without ever regaining consciousness.
That other kid is either going to die or be paralised.
Egon @ Aug 27th 2007 8:09AM
Don't ever use TMZ.com as a source again. Ever.
You guys should be better than that.
Max @ Aug 27th 2007 11:44AM
Come on. Be nice. They probably have to 'cross-promote' since tmz and autoblog are both owned by ao-hell.
