The Honda-obsessives over at the Temple of VTEC were able to get a number of pre-release images showing the redesigned Honda Fit, and according to the writer, we'll see a host of official images coming out of Japan at the end of the month.
The first shot (right) reveals a heavily redesigned front clip, with headlamps pulled steeply towards the A-pillar, along with a new bumper and hood that takes cues from the Euro-spec Civic.

Along with the front-end, the rear gets a revised hatch, new taillamps and bumper and a mildly tweaked D-pillar with more of an up kick, reducing the size of the hatch's rear window.

We'll be on the lookout for more images in the next few days, but in the meantime, you can check out all the shots TOV procured here.

Top tip, Bennet!

I love it, looks more pug-nosed (like the Yaris) and that's a good thing. PLEASE Honda, bring the glass roof option to Canada.

Wow, what a huge improvment. In my opinion of course.

I felt that the first gen Fit to reach North America looked like a bland toy for non car people.

This one seems to have lots of style.

I hope the huge sunroof (pana-roof some call it) comes to North America.
That alone would make it cool.

rv you must have never driven a Chevy Cobalt or a Suzuki Aerio. Now those are unenjoyable...

RV, what the hell are you talking about, this thing has plenty of get up and go, It just doesn't have a V8 so you actually have to use all of the rev range, and change gears yourself. I'd rather drive this than a bloody great mess of a domestic. Get a life and learn to drive you lazy yank.

Some of us have cars to drive from point A to point B not to make up for other shortcomings. Fit update seems OK very Civic like but the extra width and length on the update will come in handy for those of us who need it in our vehicle and not other places.

I didn't think the Fit could be any fuglier, but they've out done themselves again.

What the hell are the Honda designers smoking? First the Accord, now this?

Fortunately, I not a fan of Honda so I quite enjoy this.

I must say the Accord is a nicer car than a Camry, although that isn`t saying much.
For what it is the Fit is a nice car.

If you want style you have to shop the big 3.

I hope it comes with a 5 star crash test rating like the nissan versa.

Another dope-mobile that people are going to fall for. Sad state of affairs. We have become a monkey see, monkey do society regardless of how silly we make ourselves look. There is only one place for cars like this: Disneyland.
I don't think so. These cars stem from the family of cheap economy cars. There is nothing to get excited over. And the tiny wheel openings and tiny wheels with the top-heavy greenhouse looks like something from a cartoon. It's only recently some major automakers have made some well put together ones that has gotten some sales going. This has gotten society used to seeing them now, so it's not as bad of a shock when another one is shoved in our face. But remember the roots... they are cheap, econo cars for people who cannot afford anything nicer. You are fooling yourself otherwise.

Fair enough. Don't even get me started on what Bangle has forced us to accept the last six years. ; )

The silly monkeys are the ones who don't understand: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Looks like it should be an Acura from the outside, but from the inside it looks like a downgrade.

I personally like the fit for mostly safety, quality and value. It does really well in the crash test compared to it's competitors and is a great value. I think the new design is going to be an improvement and Honda is one of the few car companies our family actually trust. Our friends bought their daughter a new Aveo and it is a total piece o' junk and came out to be the same price. We were like how could you let a loved one drive a car that gets rated poor in crash test? Some people carry such a ideology about domestic cars that they would put their own family at risk. Cheers
