Pebble Beach Week 2007: Infiniti EX35 drops in Pebble
While we weren't looking, Infiniti snuck the new EX35 in the back door and released a ton of press pics and details about this newest luxury cute-ute. While we didn't get a chance to attend the official debut, we did spot a nice black example near the Infiniti hospitality tent and grabbed a couple of quick pics. From the front, and especially in black, this vehicle looks long and elegant. When it was introduced in New York as the EX Concept back in April, it won us over with its appealing styling and gorgeous interior. Somewhere between a G37 and FX35, it's quite attractive, but not really cute.

The big brother/sister FX-37 will be introduced at the 2008 Geneva auto-show. Is it safe to think that what we are seeing here from it's little brother is what we'll see in a bigger version next spring? The FX-37 is the midsized CUV that I'm waiting on.

This makes the current FX35 superfluous.
I assume Nissan will lengthen the EX to make the 2009 FX so it will have 3 rows of seating. Then maybe they can drop the QX, which has been a loser.

The EX competes against the Acura RDX and the like, while the upcoming FX-37 and FX-50 goes up against Acura MDX.
My fiancee has the new 07 MDX and it's exceptional. I still think the FX35 is the best looking CUV on the market, it's just long in the tooth.

I wonder if Infiniti will let the 3.5 snarl in this one like it does in the FX35 and the G35 coupe (now G37). Of all the things I like about the FX, that exhaust snarl is the best.

Why is it that none of the shots of the FX show the cargo area? From the concept photos to the press shots to these, not a single one shows how big/small that is. Considering that you usually you can get one or two shots of the boot, I get the feeling that the cargo area will be negligible. Wagons (sorry, SUV's and crossovers) are sold on their utility as much as anything; if the cargo area is tiny, its ability to compete will be hurt.

Agreed. This vehicle is like a 4-door convertible for an evening at the cottage. Only enough room in the back for a few overnight bags.

Thanks. Wow, that's just sad. I bet the G35 and G37 can fit more in their trunks than the EX can fit in its cargo area. If that large bump is on both sides and not just the left side, I doubt it could even fit one large suitcase lying flat.

I have seen three of those so far here in Scottsdale arizona, a black one taped up in black tape, a white one with black tape to cover it and today a black one with nothing covering it, it looks good, but it doesn;t have the sexy shape of the FX, the back end looks more like a Van sorry to say.

it looks like a tadpole - curved into tiny oblivion.
and while we are on the topic what gives on the need for 3.5 liter cute suvs? buy a frickin sedan or a wagon if you need the space and stop f-ing the environment.
