Personally, if I were in the market for an A8, I would be looking for the whole package, at $80,000, you would expect the premier equipment that company has to offer, V8/W12, including all of the luxury amenities. If I were worried about gas consumption, I would opt for the A6, which is roomy as well.

It just doesn't make sense to purchase an automobile for 80 grand and pay for an engine that you can find in a car for 50 thousand dollars less. If only the domestics would follow Audi's example, then they'd be in much better shape. Cadillac, are you listening? Imagine how much more competitive the STS could be if Cadillac was aggressive in making improvements to it each year. Sadly, Cadillac waited three years to apply major upgrades to the STS for the 2008 model year and yet it still isn't competitive, mainly the interior which isn't up to the standards of the competition. Damn it, where's the Chinese-spec SLS we all deserve to have on our soil?

Jess
