MINI & Onitsuka Tiger team up to welcome Clubman

MINI has teamed up with Japanese heritage sneaker brand Onitsuka Tiger (part of Asics) and will offer 3 pairs of trainers to coincide with the UK launch of the MINI Clubman this November. Aimed squarely at the style mavens MINI targets with its vehicles, the shoes will be offered in Chocolate/Cream (shown), Black/Silver and Cream/British Green. The shoes wear the MINI logo on the area just above the heel. Customers who want to get their hands on the fresh kicks will be able to do via MINI's online shop, Onitsuka Tiger stores, and UK MINI dealerships. The tie-in is one of doubtless many promotions MINI has in store to help the Clubman hit the ground...er...running. (Rimshot)

Wow, a sneaker I actually like.
It's been years, I've been relying on construction shoes and stuff during that time to get my dose of good-lookin' brown shoes. :0

I've found my next pair of kicks. Does anyone know when these will be available? Can't find em in the MINI shop.

First off, the zigzag cut on the piece around the lace eyelets and on the stripes on the heel looks dainty ... or fruity. A clean straight cut would look very good on these shoes.
That being said, if you guys can't find very similar kicks to these at a store near you, then you aren't looking. I have one pair that is almost identical from a french company, and two very similar (but better-looking) pair from italian companies, all of which were purchased in the past 3 years. The italian shoes cost more, generally, but they tend to last 5 to 10 years if maintained well, plus in italian shoes I can be on my feet all day and my feet never hurt at all.
BTW - if you're wondering why I have 3 similar pairs, it's because from experience I know to buy a couple pairs of shoes that I like while they are available. It's never long before you will go for about 5 years and not be able to find one good looking pair of shoes because they are all designing crap and following the crappy trends, be they stupid fat looking Vans, plump-rimmed idiotic rapper kicks, gay trendy mod designs, running shoes with a billion stripes and swirls and colors that look like hell, or shoes that will flatter the feet of no person (but everyone thinks they gotta have 'em). I keep a nice supply of cool shoes for these design-doldrums so I don't have to worry about it. I think right now I have about 25 pair - enough to last a good decade easily.
