File this under do as I say, not as I do.
Crooks and Liars has a, shall we way, interesting clip of an ad by Rush Limbaugh promoting General Motors vehicles. In the spot, the paragon of right-wing bluster praises GM's latest environmentally-friendly vehicles and technologies (hybrids, hydrogen, etc.). He starts the ad by saying how GM's vehicles have never been better. Oh, and he loooooves his Escalade and Suburban SUVs. What?!? Who makes an ad praising greener driving and then name drops those two gas-suckers?

Oh. Right.

And why is GM using a figure who thinks global warming is bogus to sell green cars? It's hard to tell, but remember they're the people who brought you the Aztek. We have a lot of good things to say about GM's work on cars like the Volt, but I'm having a hard time seeing how the decision to release this particular commercial ends up gaining GM anything.

Listen for yourself.

OK, I give. I’ll try to be more like you and just ignore all the Socialist nut job mass murdering regimes like USSR, China, N. Korea, Baath, Nazi and so on. The socialist left is all flowers and sunshine and we’ll pay no attention to the millions who have been killed when socialists impose their will on others. After all, they are just trying to be helpful. By the way, you don’t see the right gassing their own people, but it seems to be a nasty habit with the left. Yep, all the dictionaries are wrong and you democratic socialist/progressive/whatever geniuses are right. Sorry, I didn’t mean to use that nasty word… my bad! Now, go ahead and stick you heads back up you’re a@#es. Try to relax and you’ll feel right at home in a few minutes.

nom de plume- I’m not making this stuff up. Here’s what the National Socialist Candidate has to say: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2OkMrggTCI What’s he wearing? Apparently, the real fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree. Search the word “socialist” on yahoo and you will be surprised at what you can learn. I know you can do it. You’re a superior “intellectual” aren’t you?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kleptocracy Yes, Oligarchs like the socialist Bill & Hillary Clinton on the left and the traitor Neocons like Bush and Chaney. The only true conservatives left are the Libertarians and the 2 party system is designed specifically to keep the power with the Oligarchy.

Are you guys telling me that liberals & socialists can't read?

Or is it that you just can’t accept the whole truth when you read it? Maybe you’re just addicted to sound bites and your own version of history whether it’s the whole truth or not. Sometimes the whole truth can make you uncomfortable.

Rush's comments were right on, as usual, and he continues to voice the opinion of most of us despite the blathering of the nutsy left. Keep up the good work Rush, we support you and your broadcast supporters.

Why should we??? I wish all you nuts that are screwing the car market would KINDLY explain Eric the Red and the Swiss Alps to us all. Maybe then you would realize what is happening is not of man causing.

      219. Leave Al Gore out of it. Please, do not be stupid. We are experiencing global warming. In one context or the other, it is happening. I makes no difference if it is a natural rise in tempature or un-natural. Our temps are rising. Blame it on man, blame it on history, but what the hell do we do?

You go Tim! I couldn't have said it better myself!I am SO sick of the hypocrisy of liberals, starting from their "leaders" right on down to the grassroots memebers. Shall we talk about the electricity usage at the Al Gore home? I believe it was double that of his neighbors. And while we're at it, let's join John Edwards while he helps the poor and homeless from his 28,000 sq.ft. home. To quote John Stossel, "give me a break!"

Wow, I have never seen such ignorance on both sides. Dems calling Repubs racists (southern dems and jim crow laws, slavery, etc) repubs comparing dems to nazis !! I am conservative and believe that both parties suck and suck harder as they leave the center. I guess I find myself leaning towards Libritarian. Oh yeah, our form of government is a Democratic Republic, We, the people, vote for representatives rather than appointees. England and France are SOCIAL DEMOCRACIES (government owns and runs some corporations). China is a SOCIAL DICTATORSHIP (government owns and runs ALL business).

Global warming exists, we are most likey now experiencing the effects of recent volcanic eruptions starting with Mt St Helen. Al Gore is quasi correct. Man is a very small part of the equation. But this doesn't mean that we shouldn't try to improve our environment.

Now, everybody kiss and make up, quite being hate mongers, and somebody give me a BJ.

Remember Rush is always right in more than one way.

He was absolutely positive we would find WMD's in Iraq.

Yyyyyyaaaaawwwwwwwnnnnnnnn...wake up america---did you ever ask yourself?? So who was responsible for the huge drought/warm up of the dust bowl years??? Who was responsible for the huge change in global climate that killed the dinosaurs??? Don't be stupid people---yes, all countries need to take better care of the environment ---get factories in line and clean them up...BUT WEATHER PATTERNS HAVE BEEN CHANGING SIGNIFICANTLY SINCE THE BEGINNING OF TIME AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO....THE BIBLE STATES THE EARTH WILL COME TO AN END BY FIRE...SO YOU CAN ATLEAST COUNT ON THAT TO BE FACTUAL....BUT THE WEATHERMAN?? AND HUMAN ENVIRONMENTALISTS WHO CHANGE THEIR STORIES TO SUIT THE CHANGING CLIMATE EVERY GENERATION?? I DON'T THINK SO....IN THE 60'S THEY TAUGHT US WE WERE RETURNING TO THE ICE AGE....NOW 40 YEARS LATER THEY ARE SAYING WE ARE GOING TO BURN UP....ALL SCIENTISTS....ALLL SUPPOSED TO KNOW EVERYTHING..
