eBay Find of the Day: Tommykaira R #357

The car above is indeed the same Tommykaira R that graced the pages of Sport Compact Car a couple of years back, and if you want it, it's yours for $93,000. The owner has listed Tommykaira R #357 on eBay. It's one of 400 total R33 Skyline GT-R-badged Tommykaira Rs, which were sold as complete vehicles through Tommykaira. This one doesn't sport the optional widebody kit that was available (and widely purchased, according to Sport Compact Car), making it even more of a rarity. It's fully federalized and recently laid down 401 AWHP at a dyno session. This Tommykaira Skyline is is the only one of its kind in the US, and it's a complete street banshee. There isn't one of us here at Autoblog who doesn't wish he had an extra $93K lying around. You can view the auction listing here, and if you'd like to read the original Sport Compact Car piece, click here. (The owner reprinted the SCC article in the eBay listing to use as a vehicle description). If we had this car, we'd never have to play Gran Turismo again.
Thanks to Johnnyichiban for the tip!

I'd have pegged it as a Camcord, myself.

This looks a lot like the Nismo 400R (I loved that one in Gran Turismo).

What a great car. I doubt it would be allowed in Canada with the cat. removed though.

it should be allowed in after 15 years no questions asked as equipped in canada..
I'm seeing many many skylines now..
You poor buggers with clean air testing..
My first mod on my turbo cars is to open the exhaust up lmao..

This car is in Florida where there are no inspection tests...well at least not yet...so there is no clean air testing (maybe only to import the car). So he could have modded the living crap out of the car and it would be street legal. The seller is only like an hour from where I live. Too bad I don't have $100K, I've always wanted an R33 Skyline

If it were something I was more interested in, like a 40th Anniversary Autech or a Autech Stagea 260RS...

I'm playing Gran Turismo 4 right now and wow......the GT-R is awesome. I never realized how good those JDM cars are - and how powerful they can be pushed to (400+ bhp!).
I'd love to have one of those for my own "personal use" lol

I may or may not have gotten laid because of this exact car. Normally GT-R's only attract men and boys , but there are a few girls into them.

A couple owners after Sean has his hands on this car it was wrecked. Last I had heard of it, year and a half ago, it was at a body shop in Florida awaiting parts. I guess the parts finally came in...

I never understood the buzz about these cars. Big, heavy and underpowered tanks; probably the most overrated car around today.
Kind of amusing that the whole reason for their notoriety was from all of the pimple faced 25-year-old riceboys playing Gran Tourismo on the Play Station in their parents basement. Also amusing how the said riceboys believe that the grossly exaggerated performance in the game represent the real car.

Actually they are quite agile cars. Also the hubbub is that fact that GT-R are easy to tune to ridiculuously high horsepower numbers. 850bhp and above is well within reason, so Gran Turismo is not off base.

Acutally, GT-Rs, while they are heavy, are pretty agile cars becuase of their ATTESSA all-wheel drive system. A majority of the reason for its large fan base is the fact that the sky is the limit when it comes to tuning as the engine can withstand so much boost pressure. So the 850 bhp that you can get in Gran Turismo is not totally optimistic.

I've seen the car in person, used to belong to a friend of mine who worked/owned Z-Fever here in Tampa. It's an awesome little car.
