This writer fell in love in Switzerland this past March. It happened at the launch of the new Maserati GranTurismo. The thing is, I wasn't sure if my newfound affection was for the car or for the sassy model standing in front of it. What's more is that I'm sure I wasn't the only one. Thankfully, Maserati has put an end to my sleepless nights, at least, with the release of a new batch of images showing its breathtaking new coupe away from the glitz and glamour of the Geneva auto show floor.
It was tempting to keep the pictures all to myself, but that just wouldn't be fair. Not to you, and not to the car. She does love the spotlight ever so much. So we've added the new batch of images, in all their high-resolution glory, to our gallery below, together with the original stock images, concept sketches and shots from Geneva. Enjoy.

Is it me or is there 2 fog lights on one side and one on the other. Is there a purpose for that? Just curious.

It's a reflection on the bumper.

It's just a reflection in the paint on the bumper.

Where do you mount the front license plate on that thing, and how does it look with it?
Most places in the world require the front plate, so it'll probably look weird in most of these regions...

no front plate holder... that's it get my deposit back!
what were those designers thinking!
anyone who would put a front plate on a maserati should be kicked in the throat.

Eve if it's illegal and you'd get ticketed at any occasion? What if - as in some parts of the world - you'd also get points on your driving records for driving without a license plate?
I don't have a front plate on my Porsche, either. But where I live I can get away with it (1 ticket in 14 years). Not everybody is that lucky... the designers should know that and make it at least look decent.

What happened to the nice rims? the rims in these pictures are terrible

first modern one that actually looks ok to me. Dont love it though. At least it doesn't look like an Altima like the other one. Still the biturbo and the first ghibli/convertible were sweeter looking

Damn, that is so much nicer than a Ferrari. Why is it that lesser marques are blooming while Ferrariis making things that look like they should have been lost in a B-movie? The Alfa 8C, Brera, and Maserati Gran Turismo are gorgeous.
