VIDEO: Nissan GT-R at Goodwood

The Nissan GT-R is among the subject of the most sought-after spy photos in the business, mostly because so many people want to see and know more about Nissan's upcoming speed-demon. A 3.7L turbocharged engine with at least 450 hp combined with a storied name that is finally making its way Stateside tends to excite us enthusiasts. When we made our way out to the 2007 Goodwood Festival of Speed, our own Frank Filipponio got some terrific shots of a hardly disguised GT-R making runs, and someone else got video of Nissan's road-rocket before it hit the track.
Watching the video, it doesn't take a trained ear to hear serious horsepower. The cameraman got close enough to see the camo'd interior, and you can hear banter between the GT-R's driver and some people in the crowd. Check it out after the jump, it's a small GT-R fix before its October unveiling in Tokyo.

Sounds wonderful. You didn't mention that the chief designer makes a cameo.
But I think I'd still rather have the Ford GT behind it...

I wouldn't be surprised if they fitted an exhaust to this particular car specifically to mask the true sound of the engine, as the engine specs are the main thing everyone's waiting for at Tokyo and it would be a waste to spoil some of the details that could audibly be picked up now.

Awesome car, Id still take that superleggera in front though
PS. Thank you for not putting techno music to this, even though the car was mostly idling.

You can hear him blipping the throttle just a bit at the very beginning, but the other times it's the Gallardo in front of him, and then the Ford GT behind, so I fail to see how you can hear "serious horsepower" from the GTR
