This car could be the savior for the U.S. driving public, but it will work only if everyone is required to drive one.  The drive train could be updated by installing a Honda lawn mower engine, and grade school children will be required to hand paint each one with images and slogans hailing the saving of our environment from the evil Global Warming. I live in Michigan and i'm on my second 2CV. Sure, it's not safe like a Volvo, but it's also much more noticeable than anything else. That gives it a unique type of safety.
