Nick Hall, one of our favorite scribes that crosses the print and digital divides, penned an obit to the Pagani Zonda, which will be ending its production run later this year. Only five more Zondas will be built and all are likely spoken-for, crushing the hopes of the overtly-wealthy and lottery hopefuls alike.
The next Pagani will probably debut in Geneva next year, and we'll be there for the unveiling. In the meantime, check out Mr. Hall's entry over at the Jalop, and raise a glass to one of the greatest supercars of our generation.

Literally a cryin' shame.

Pagani has given the world the only fully-realized, independent supercar of the new millennium. Argue all you want about Acari, Saleen, Koenigsegg, and the rest. In terms of engineering and execution, only the Zonda is a true peer for the established supercar players.

Gee! I guess folks who are too late to buy a Zonda can buy a Zoyota, right?

'Bout damn time. I'll take an Ascari instead.

That article was as if I wrote it! When I first eyed that car, time paused and I told myself that before I die, I had to own it, no matter what it took. Yes they will be new models with the latest and greatest but it will not be the same. To me that model was the epitomy of exotic. I don't care how it handled or how practical it was or anything else. Almost feels like a part of me has died..../snif
