Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder, and any automotive passion is usually OK in our books, but this is pushing things a bit, even for us. Someone took a perfectly nice Camaro SS and added a bunch of Batman adoration to create this Batmaro, a.k.a. the Caped Crusader Camaro, complete with an appropriately winged body kit, Batman symbol spinner wheels, and the airbrushed visage of Gotham's freedom fighter adorning its hood scoop.
Seems a shame the unknown owner didn't start with a Ram-Air Trans-Am, which always looked to us like it emerged from the Bat Cave instead of a General Motors assembly plant. For some reason, the words Dark Knight Rider come to mind. Click the gallery below so you can point and laugh along with the DC area Sportbikers.

I think it'd look pretty good without the graphics. Nice body kit.

Nevermind, just saw the interior and hood closeup. How I can type this with my retinas burned, I don't know.

It is a particularly sincere and pure form of horrific, IMHO. At the same time, hats off to the owner for building his dream machine.
To the Bat Cave!

Camaro abuse makes baby jesus cry... and boy is he crying
Ugh @ Jun 13th 2007 4:02PM
So you mean he cries every time one rolls out of the factory and in to the arms of an awaiting trailer park tennant? I can see that.

G'day Autoblog-folk,
Would I be able to write a one-off post for your site? I've got a yarn that would appeal to a wide cross-section of your international readership. I'm also a best-selling novelist - so I can string a few sentences together! Let me know ....
Cheers

"Attention Walmart shoppers, Batman accessories are now on sale in aisle 12!"

Yes, I've seen this around Rutgers Newark. This car was also at a car show a few weekends ago. It actually looks pretty cool up close, even if it is bastardized.

I'd buy it. It doesn't look as if it'd take too much to undo what he's done. Remove that tacky second wing, take a rubber wheel to the bat symbols, possibly buff out the image on the hood. I'd keep the wheels, though.
$200 and a nice Saturday could undo whats been done.
Hell, Batman is the second coolest Superhero. Bond is the only one who beats him. Bond has all the cool toys, the playboy lifestyle, and a license to kill issues by the government.
Now, show me a Wolverine Mustang.
TeamNutmeg @ Jun 14th 2007 2:37AM
In its own twisted way, this is actually kinda cool - aside from that rear wing, of course. I mean, really - bat spinners? At least it's not boring.
Besides, everything can be undone with a new paint job and a couple filled bolt-holes. That's certainly more than you can say about most low-rider Impalas, or god forbid those poor old Caddies that get jacked up and mounted atop 30" wheels.

I know who this is. He is a cop in Newark NJ. He even dresses up as batman and shows up in public and makes his wife wear batman shirts. Before this he had an older chevy berretta with a hideous wing on the back and batman stickers all over it. Trust me the camaro is an improvement over that last P.O.S. what a loser.
