More on the supercharged MTM Audi RS4
When we brought you AudiWorld's story on the MTM-tuned RS4, there were only two questions we had: how much and what's it sound like? Thankfully, European Car was able to get the first answer during their review, and after converting from euros to dollars, the MTM package will set you back about $26-large. The answer to the second part of our query came courtesy of AudiWorld themselves, who were smart enough to pack a video camera to shoot the K540 making its sub-four second run to 60, along with a few screaming supercharged passes by the camera.

Was that the check engine light on??? Look closely when the camera is pointed at the dash. Well, it's a fast piece of sh*t!!

It might be worth reading the other coverage autoblog has posted/linked to on this car before acting all surprised about something already addressed previously -an not a result of engine fault. Additionally, if you're even remotely familiar with tuning VAG you'll know the CEL is a rather annoying little creature that comes on at rather insignificant times, which is why VAG just updated the ECU on all the 2.0Ts as the MAF was far to sensitive, etc. This isn't to say it doesn't warn of catastrophic stuff, just that to the VAG tuning world, CELS aren't a death knell, rather a sign that a) some more work needs to be done to fine tune an intake et-al or b) in the case of this car, already addressed in the previous article.
This iteration looks a hell of a lot better then the one in the previous article!

OK, I was sold on this about half a second into the video. What a glorious noise! And then there's the supercharger whine...I think I'm going to melt...
And it takes off like a freaking rocket!
Oh, and thank-you, Audi-World for making a *proper* video that ignites the senses, instead of some (mostly) rap-filled fizzle-ma-wizzle-pizzle crap.

Imagine that MTM supercharger kit on the R8??? It would be a screamer!!! Simply phenomenal! Go MTM! Go Audi!!!
Only drawbacks: the engine bay doesn't look quite so pretty with the bulky supercharger mounted on the top of the head and the $26K price tag.

I'm already an love with anything with the "RS" badge on it, but let me know if MTM decides to work their magic on the "RS5". Thats the one I have my eye on. Just gotta save up about $120K I guess.

Yes, what a masterpiece - the sound is fantastic and evil. I want to meet the person that calls themselves an enthusiast and poo poo's this car. I am not saying its perfection, but being what it is, it is perfection in itself - its like an attractive woman, yes there are other attractive women out there; but each one is unique in her own way.
