VIDEO: Autoblog Podcast #67 (enhanced)
Autoblog Podcast #67 Jaguar Shifter, CTS-V
The enhanced version of Autoblog Podcast #67 is now ready for download or streaming on YouTube. In part one, we talk about the Autoblog redesign and the Dodge Nitro Giveaway. In part two we hit the ground running, with information on Jaguar's funky-cool new shifter and an update on the 2009 CTS-V. Next on the docket is talk of a Lambda-based Chevy crossover and news on what may be the Acura NSX testing on the 'Ring. We finished up with the VW Worthersee event that included the crazy-mad 650 HP GTI. We crammed a whole lot into 32 minutes, and it's definately worth viewing. Remember, parts one, three, and four of the podcast are available after the jump.
Check it out. Per your suggestions, we cut the podcast into four sections for smaller downloads. If you have any more suggestions on how to improve the enhanced version of the Podcast, let us know in the comments. We're working on a better distribution system than shoving all three in our current RSS feed of the audio-only version, so soon you'll be able to subscribe just to the enhanced version's RSS feed.

so, you guys were talking about plans for Chevy having Lambda platform based CUV...
Why GM simply doesn't start importing and selling it's own Chevrolet Captiva, which is available in Europe. Captiva shares it's mechanical parts with Opel Antara which is twin brother of Saturn Vue, therefore Captiva must be lambda platform also. It sounds much simpler than designing a whole new product

The big problem with the Saturn Outlook is that Saturn probably has less than 300 dealers for the whole country.
The Chevy model will probably have over 3000 dealers to be sold at. I think that the Chevy model was always planned but GM didn't have the plant capacity until Spring Hill was cleared out. I would expect over 200K units per year for the Chevy

DavidM,
200K is a massive number for the Chevy, and if that were to come true, the case for that particular rebadge is a no-brainer. The problem is that when I attended a GM event back in December, Mark LaNeve put a number out there of 130K combined projected sales for Acadia/Outlook/Enclave. I can't see a Chevy version being the kind of runaway hit that would outsell all three combined.
Milos,
Vue/Captiva/Antara is the Theta platform, not Lambda. Lambda's the big CUV architecture. I think Captiva would make sense as an Equinox replacement, however.
