VIDEO: Bumblebee speaks in new Transformers TV spot

We can't even try to hide our excitement over the upcoming Transformer movie, so we're just going to keep showing you every new clip we can find. So far from what we can tell, Transformers is shaping up to be something along the lines of Independence Day meets Terminator meets Johnny Five. This time, we get a glimpse of what good-guy Autobot Bumblebee sounds like in an all-new small school trailer. It isn't much but hey, we're excited. If you are too, maybe we'll see you at the local megaplex on July 4. Check out the video after the jump.

You ooh and ahh over every little bit of marketing released for Transformers, which really has very little to do with cars, but can't be bothered to cover the Indy 500 until you are hassled by readers. Incredible.

Scott, how could you say that this movie has very little to do about cars? The movie's stars are cars! A 2009 Camaro, Pontiac Solstice, GMC Sidekick, Hummer H2, a Peterbilt (I think) not to mention a Ford Mustang in addition to planes, helicopters and others.

scott did someone steal your transformers as a child? Seriously.
Pretty decent spot, though I enjoyed the Sarah Silverman/Optimus footage from the MTV Movie awards tonight quite a bit more.

After 11 years of IRL/CART feuds, this last Indy 500 was the worse showcase of the sport in memory. Well, maybe last year was worse?
Anyways, the spot was awesome. I half expected Bumblebee to sound like the whiny kiss-ass he was in the original animation, but instead he's tough. Thank you Mr. Bay for not making Bumblebee into 2007's Jar Jar Binks.

wait a sec.
did bumblebee just make R2-D2 noises???!!!
and wasnt the voice over "It's you and me" unmistakably the voice of peter cullen, which is optimus prime, not bumblebee? or is he doing double time on both characters?
yeah, still hating it.

I wonder if they will have cheap plastic interiors and low gas mileage like the cars they're based on.

Transformers > Indy Racing League
Saw the theatrical trailer in an actual theatre for the first time last week (yay Pirates 3), and it actually gave me goosebumps. So pumped...

MTV gives this movie an award for "Best Summer Movie You haven't Seen Yet".... What a crock. Talk about corporate synergy. MTV is a total mockery of itself.

Man, not even Transformers fans want to see this movie. Why is this even on here?

People that have actually seen pre-screenings have reported that that is not his voice, as someone else noticed.
Bumblebee does not speak in an intelligible-to-humans fashion.

The "speaks" they are talking about are the noises he makes after the line "you're my guardian", not "it's you and me".

GM thanks you for promoting it's advertismen...I mean, movie.

Rob 11:39AM (6/04/2007)
No, this movie is not 'about cars'. It is about "GM CARS". This is GM's advertisemen- I mean MOVIE, and they paid for everything, so the entire movie, instead of being a movie about transformers, will basically be about GM products instead. This is exactly while I'll never pay to see it. Think the chase in the Matrix Reloaded, only 2 hours long.

Rob,
Yeah, that whole Matrix trilogy was also just a great, big advertisement for GM too, eh? Maybe the TV show NCIS is all about Chryslers, and Steven Spielberg was advertising Coca-Cola, Gap, and Lexus when he made Minority Report.
All in all, there are GM's and Fords in the movie,
and Mitsubishi's and Mazda's:

BMW's:

And is that a Porsche Cayenne?

Yeah. Lotsa GM's. Get over it. I'm sure you'll be complaining while you wet your shorts after the first action scene, made in part with the money from GM's product placement plans.
