Meet the Mazda3.14159265...

How can you tell if you're a nerd? If you're the owner of this car and you look in the mirror. Aside from augmenting his Mazda3's rear badging with pi to the 27th place, Mr. Math here also ordered a vanity license plate that expresses his craving for the never-ending number. Mmmm pi, indeed.

In an even more ridiculous turn of events, there are two more ex-Mazda model names hidden in the badge- 323 and 626.

Wow, keen eye you got there Will. I would've never noticed that, even if I knew Pi that far.
I find this very funny. I guess this classifies as a special edition?

That's actually brilliant.
I guess it takes a "nerd" like me to appreciate it.

It'd have been cooler if he could've matched the numbering to the namplate more closely. Still, pretty clever--sort of a personalized equivalent of those T-shirts that say "Si hoc ligere scis nimium eruditiouis habes".

The best part has to be the vanity plate which is most likely an allusion to The Simpson's.

Actually, I think the "mmm pi" reference comes from this Flash comic from a few years ago:
