There are still plenty of vehicles out there that meet 4 star ratings and are totally exceptable.
Although Toyota managed to "only" recieve a 4 star safety rating, I dont think its crap or anything, although I can say Im slightly suprised considering its the first true fullsize trying to make an impression.
There we can agree.
However, there are worse choices out there.
Just go back 5 years on various models and manufacturers and you will see how many autos dont even meet 4 star ratings.
It actually makes you think the older cars are crap compared to todays vehicle content for safety features.
