Late last week, Sen. Levin of Big Three Michigan said that if new laws go into effect that require a 10 mpg increase in the CAFE standards over the next ten years, it would be the death knell for Chrysler. Early this morning, I'm saying that's rubbish. Chrysler has made its bed, they knew they were going to have to sleep in it sometime. Then again, Chrysler hasn't given me piles of money, so I won't say anything to defend their status quo (and against cleaner vehicles) the way Levin is.
