Car-based pickups work best when it's clearly just a car with a bed. That's why I like the El Camino, Holden & Ford Utes, Subaru Baja (and the classic BRAT/Brumby), etc.
But I hate how Honda is trying to market the Ridgeline as a truck. They've styled it with proportions that make it look like it's a truck and not just a car with a bed, which killed any appeal the Ridgeline might have had.
If Hyundai's smart, they'll just chop the top half off the back of the Genesis and not try to proportion it like a truck.
