Clear the roads: Paris Hilton running a Spyker C8 Spyder in Bullrun

As if there hasn't been enough Paris Hilton in our lives, now she's going to be competing in this year's Bullrun behind the wheel of a Spyker C8 Spyder. Bullrun, an eight-day rally and traveling fiesta,, will be running from Montreal to Key West starting on May 11. Paris was part of the 2004 rally (which, of course, she did not win) so she does have some experience with how the competition works.
To get her to appear, the Bullrun organizers gave the hotel heiress the gorgeous Spyker in which she'll compete. TMZ snagged some amusing video of the socialite with her exotic ragtop, in which she starts off in the driver's seat, then says "I don't know how to drive a stick" as she climbs into shotgun. Then, when someone else gets in to drive, the brainy beauty exclaims, "Don't hit my car!" as she looks back at her... Saab? We know Paris is a looker, but the C8, with its unique appearance and spectacular engine note, completely steals the show here.

When she says, "Don't hit my car!" it's clear to me she's referring to the Spyker and it sounded tongue-in-cheek. Also, since the paparazzi ask her if she's going to buy the car, it must be a loan, not a gift.
The guy who gives her a ride in the Spyker mentions a sequential manual. If the Spyker has such a transmission, then maybe she can drive it after all. But I'm with the TMZ commenters who are wondering how she can legally drive in the Bull Run with her recent DUI legal trouble.

It's disappointing to see Autoblog even making mention of Paris Hilton. She's not a looker, she's barely worthy of being referred to as a sentient human being, and she's famous for being a promiscuous drug-abuser. If there is one web destination that I thought was safe from Paris Hilton's infectious presence, it would have been Autoblog. It seems there is no web portal on this planet that has not been soiled by her wretched visage. Splendid...

well, I'm hoping that droopy eyed shitstain succumbs to one of the STDs she has brewing in her rancid load mitt.
Getting back on point though.. She has her license back?
Either way, hopefully darwin catches up.

I just read that she is the spokesperson for one of Spyker F1's sponsors for Monaco. There is probably some sort of correlation.
Here is that article.

The Bullrun is right after the Gumball 3000! Good grief, Team Polizei is going to be busy.

Looker? That is not a word I would describe her with. Maybe "droopy-eyelided"
Take a good look at that Spyker. It's likely that it will not survive the race, knowing Paris's driving record.

I think the Range Rover upfront was the "car" she was talking about. I hope everyone remembers the incident involving her Range Rover in some parking garage in LA.

I haven't voiced myself on this site for a while, but I'm going to take the time to do so on this one. Not because of the story being covered, but because of the fact that it IS even being posted. This isn't automotive journalism, this isn't even automotive news. Celebrities will own expensive cars, they can afford them, they will crash them, and they will get another one and the cycle will continue, bit freakin whoop. No one cares, at least no one who reads this site for the significant developments in the auto industry does. This is tabloid crap.
And please don't think that this has anything to do with "if you don't like it, then don't read it" kind of thing. I feel that stories like this and some others demean the site and so detached from anything automotive related that its just annoying. I feel like I'm skipping over more and more posts each time I visit this site hoping to read something significant and interesting (If I wanted to see whats cool on eBay I would go to eBay.com)

Didn't she lose her driver's license after the DUI she got pinched on?

Hmm. May 11, you say? May have to go sit on the side of I-87 and watch all the nice cars go by. I bet the state troopers who infest the Northway are rubbing their hands in anticipation.
