Remember when you were a kid and had to ask your dad to move the car out of the driveway so you could shoot some hoops? Well now that you're old enough to drive, you can relive the experience, only when you pull out the car from the driveway this time, you can keep going.

This basketball net clamps onto any standard trailer hitch for a game of b-ball in any empty parking lot you come across. The system includes a four-piece telescoping pole, fully adjustable to any height you like up to regulation 10'. It features a full-sized 44" backboard that adjusts in angle so you don't have to worry if you've parked on uneven ground. The rim is solid steel and the net's made from nylon. You can attach it to a 2" trailer hitch, or to a 1 ¼" hitch with an adapter, and can even drive with it collapsed and hooked on to your truck until you reach your game site.

Just take it easy on those hail-Mary free-throws at the buzzer or you'll be visiting the body shop more than you'd like.

Bill Hancock wrote (No. 1) "what happens when your friend air balls it and breaks your windshield??"

Kowell wrote (No. 6") "Didn't anyone at the company considered that almost every shot that misses has a 99% probability of hitting the car and breaking a window?"

Gentlemen, just because it is called "the rock" doesn't mean that a basketball actually is a rock. It is an inflated bladder of rubber covered in leather. Hundreds of basketballs hit glass on hundreds of courts every day with no harm done. Chill.

Perhaps inspired by the 7-Up commercial from a few years back?

although I agree it wouldn't break glass, there's a good chance of denting the roof in.

Just hope your truck's a beater. or buy a dent king! :-P

Has anyone out there bought one of these yet?

Anyone want to hazard a guess until the first youtube posting of one of these and some idiots using it while driving on a freeway?

Damn - that makes me want to buy one...

Short of Shaq, I don't think anyone else can slam a basketball hard enough to shatter tempered glass.

I think this is a great idea.

I would like to see someone hang on the rim while dunking. You should be able to get quite a bit of leverage from a 10 foot pole attached to the back of your car. Most likely you will end up bending the pole before you can lift the front tires off the ground.
