Mopar releases new hop-up parts for your Hemi

Mmmm boy. Do we love us some Hemis. Knowing this, our boy Drew tipped us off to some of Mopar's newest performance parts for the 5.7-liter, 6.1-liter and 392ci engines.
All the parts are designed to bring out more muscle from the iconic block, including a 4104 forged steel crankshaft and 4340 forged steel con rods for the 392 crate engine, along with a new camshaft that will also work with the 6.1-liter mill, balancing reliability, horsepower and torque. Cylinder heads for the 5.7-liter, 6.1-liter and 392 are also available which are CNC-ported and able to handle cams that lift the valves up to .600".
More information is available over at Muscle Car News, where you'll find a little bit of everything to fulfill your rear-wheel drive desires.

Sorry, but mopar parts are junk, they are overpriced and underperformers, if you want to get -real- upgrades you go with an aftermarket company.

A stock WS6 2001 trans-am can make a charger/magnum/300 srt-8 REALLY work for it, and even then you will barly win, I used to own a 2002 ws6 and It would be barly beat by my charger srt-8... those fbodies are amazing cars, just AMAZINg, they STILL can beat the mustangs and the stangs have had 5 years to catch up.. pathetic.

I think a little more fair comparison would be the Mustang Shelby GT...seeing that the WS6 (stock) had 325 hp and the Shelby has 320. In stock form they would be about the same. But comparing modded to stock isnt exactly an even match. I could supercharge a Mustang GT and slap on some suspension parts and it would waste a WS6. Now, if you had one of the rare Firehawk versions, that may be a totally different story.
It's not pathetic. You are comparing a car with 325-330hp to a car that has 300hp. It would be like me comparing my Regal to a Mopar slant six powered Lebaron (which my friend's sister had...talk about slooow).
Dont get me wrong, I love the last generation Firebirds. And I am trying desperately to find any V-8 powered version built after 2000.

HEMI has to be the most watered-down formerly-respected name in all of autos...ever.

#5...I have to agree. They are great engines (both 426 and the 5.7L) and have potential but the fact that Dodge has been dropping Hemis into everything makes the Hemi name, well, crap. It's like GM slapping the SS moniker onto everything.

Mopar part's are not junk,Hemi rule's in case you never noticed 99% of funny car's,g.m bodied/ford body, even factory sponsered racer's use CHRYSLER HEMI's yes they do,I like drag racing and used to like all brand's but lost respect for g.m(chevy, oldsmobile, pontiac, buick)and ford when I looked at the motor's and it looked like a hemi with either g.m or ford name's on the valve cover's asked the owner's/mechanic's they said all are CHRYSLER HEMI'S,I asked why not a dodge body? he said then it would be all dodge's,I found that funny cause there were only 2 dodge's out of 100+car's with hemi's,so from then on I knew mopar ruled for obvious reason's!!I run a mopar crate motor in my car for 7 year's now with zero problem's !!
