For some people in the market for a hairy-chested C-Class, the AMG-fettled C63 and any Brabus option will be too obvious. For them it's Kircherer to the rescue, with its new C-Class sledgehammer, the K35 CS.

Kircherer has upped the antes on both the gasoline and diesel engines. The C350 gets bumped up 34 hp to 306, with 280 lb-ft of twist, while the C320 CDI jumps up 46 hp to 270 hp, with 443 lb-ft of churning power. That means you can get your diesel C from 0-60 in 6.9 seconds while getting respectable if not stellar gas mileage.

Outside, the cosmetic changes certainly do their part to give the new C an attitude worthy of Hitman, starting with the lightweight, handmade, 19-inch RS-1 wheels, with the ride saved from low-profile oblivion by thicker stabilizer bars and height-adjustable dampers. In the rear, a new diffuser shrouds quad-pipes emerging from the stainless steel sport exhaust. Inside, the mods continue with alcantara leather, piano lacquer, a carbon fiber steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and stainless steel door sills. See more pics after the jump.

That diesel tuning is unimpressive. A stock 335d makes more power, slightly less torque, and is 0.7 seconds faster to 60.

The E320 (bigger) does a manufacturer claimed time of 6.6 seconds, though it could range to near 7 seconds. The C320 is lighter, so it should go faster. Could be the driver. Might be able to get 6.5 seconds to 60, though the 30-50 and 50-70 mph acceleration times are whats nice with diesel.

As a FORMER Benz owner, I'll gladly take my Infiniti M, which allows me to have a life again after spending 3 years handing the keys to someone from the dealership so they could repair it. Unbelievably bad experience for an unbelievebly high price. Never again!

The rear looks sharp. I'm really digging the dual elliptical exhaust. It's something I'd like to see on the BMW 6-series.
