Click the image above to view the Autoblog Chip Foose interview
Questions remained surrounding the Ford Chip Foose F-150, so we set out in search of answers and found ourselves speaking to the man whose name appears on the truck. A couple of questions and a Chip riff or two later, here's what we learned - the inspiration for the truck was Foose's own F-series, the truck should be available in three or four months (!), and a lighter-weight two-door version might be on its way if Chip's crew has its way. SVT may not be able to resurrect the Lightning, but we think this would be an adequate substitute. Press through to watch us stutter and stammer our way through an interview with the Hot Rod Hall of Famer after the jump.

Chip looks good in a suit. He should wear them more often instead of those goofy shirts.

Still waiting for the Emeril Lagasse F-150 with kitchenette.

Chip must be eating good, the way he keeps cashing checks left in right. He has put on some weight along with his net worth.

#2, when did Overhaulin end?
This truck is perfectly done. Chip Foose is one of the greatest car designers ever. Every vehicle has its own personality, and they all end up looking excellent. I really hope he does a 2 door one!

I am still trying to figure out how the aftermarket for the F-150 got more attention than the Mustang on autoblog. Last time I checked the Mustang had the largest aftermarket for customization in the world that was somwhere near one billion a year.

F-150 got lots of attention, because Ford sells a lot more of them than the Mustang.
500 ftlbs of torque. Man-o-man. I want that in an off-road version next. I don't like low-riders.

Look at Chip ownin the mic while being ever so dapper!
The boy cleans up nicely

Ghetto wheels, lame BOSS mustang style stripes and a billet grill -I can order all of these parts from a Trukin magazine - lame
Foose please apply your skills to ALL your vehicles - dont dumb them down for the masses

Chip does look like he's been eating well. I like his work; the man is extremely talented. I'd take a Foose car over a Boyd Coddington car any time.
Ford, keep working with Chip Foose!
Mason Hill @ Apr 10th 2007 5:28PM
Chip Foose is diluting his name. Using it as a designer label on mass produced vehicles does him no justice. Next he will be doing clothes and hair products like all of the Hollywood types. Lord help us.

Got my dealer checking on getting me this hot looking Foose truck. I got to have one of these!! Good Job Chip!!
