The Hef to marshal Toyota Pro Celebrity race

Just another reason to go to Long Beach for the Grand Prix weekend. Playboy founder Hugh Hefner has been announced as this year's Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race grand marshal. The celebrity race is always one of the most popular sideshows during Grand Prix weekend and with Hef doing the honors, and one of his playthings piloting one of the racecars, it should make the event even more entertaining.
The 10-lap charity race will not only feature Playmate Kendra Wilkinson, but such wide-flung celebs as tennis great Martina Navratilova, Cold Case's Kathryn Morris, Howard Stern's sidekick Robin Quivers, CSI: Miami's Emily Procter, NBA legend John Salley and Star Wars' creator George Lucas, among others. There are typically a few professional drivers from other disciplines that compete with the celbs, spotting the noobs 30 seconds at the start.
The Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race also features drivers who were the high bidders in a charity auction in the preceding weeks. All drivers are given a couple of track practice sessions with instructors and then compete in identically prepared, relatively stock Toyota or Scion vehicles. Last year it was the Scion tC that had that honor for Toyota.

For once I may go to the Toyota Grand Prix in Long Beach thanks to Hef. What an awesome life this guy created for himself.

Oh man. We need more pictures of the girls please. If Toyota used more of these girls in all their shows, dealerships, and commercials, they will completely dominate mankind. :)

Totally off-topic, but that girl on the right is a total Marilyn Monroe lookalike...

When Hef finally kicks the bucket, I'm sure he will go with that smile on his face. Good on him.

Phil... let me take the bait:
I'm thinking of something with head and airbags. Something like:
And people complain that airbags are unsafe for kids. Let me tell you, if I was a horny teen, I'd be certain my head would come off if Toyota installed a pair of these Hefner Air Bags in my Camry.

Toyota --
"We completely suck at all forms of racing, so we'll distract you with these hotties."
I appreciate hotties as much as anyone else, but the fact is that Toyota performance lags big time. Just get out of racing already, guys. Stick to your Camrys and Lexus SUVs. They're way more profitable anyway.

While I admire what Hugh has done for himself and guys all around the world, those 4 chicks on the pictures can't be more fake, can they? I bet if any of them would stand to a radiator they would literaly melt. I prefer "natural" females :P

Those girls are so hot! He's the man! Toyota will be #1 at racing, give them time. With them being one of the few auto manf that make money. They will be able to keep throwing money at it. GM/FORD losing so much money, they will have to cut the racing budget down.

Certainly doesn't add respectability to Toyota.

This is just a rant, but the Pro/Celebrity Race has always really bugged me. They are usually full of some barely known "celebrities" that may or may not have any interest in racing, are ususally good at wrecking cars, and its not like you can tell who they are under the helmet behind the wheel anyway. Meanwhile there are truly talented people who strongly desire to get their shot at racing standing on the sidelines.
Like I said, just a dumb rant.

Get real.
Ever heard of BMW? Ferrari? Honda? Audi? I'm pretty sure they make money.
Even with a Schumacher Toyota can't manage a single win.

that's not a dumb rant at all. i too am someone miffed that celebrity clowns in low performance cars like camrys and TCs get all these resource and the talented drivers that care get squat.

15 and 16, this is a one time race for charity, not toyota sponsoring a series or driver for a full season or anything
