Lamborghini Alar debut postponed, unfortunately not forever

According to our friends over at Argentina Auto Blog (no relation), the debut of the controversially-styled Lamborgini Alar has been postponed from tomorrow to Wednesday of next week. The show at which the officially sanctioned Lambo was to debut, Expo World Cars, has been pushed back on account of weather. Designed by Joan Ferci, the Alar stands as one of the most fugly supercars ever badged with the famous Italian bull. For proof, check out the new high-res profile shot that was released, as well as the rest of our Lamborghini Alar gallery.

I had never seen a side profile of this car until now. I am referring to the very first picture in this post. What where they seriously thinking, look at the front of the car. It looks like a hungry baby bird asking for worms with the mouth open.

The Alar? Just call it the Daminozide. Anybody remember that one? It was a growth regulator that achieved notoriety in the late 80's. Caused a big scare that it or it's residual components caused cancer. Who chose that name?

This looks like Audi stepped back and let the Italians loose.. Or maybe the Dutch.. I dunno, looks kind of donkervooten or something..
I can kind of see what they were going for, with the F1/Enzo style nose, but ouch.. I would prefer they just kinda say "well, that was ONE idea.. We're still exploring our options..." :)

They need to do some crash tests, such as crashing the computers that hold the plans for this car into the ground at terminal velocity. Then burn the remaining plastic pieces, just to make sure we got all of it.

Looks like those Toys R' Us toy cars for 6 year olds that are meant to look futuristic. Stick a red bazooka with purple ammo on it and you got a GI Joe winner.

Huh, looks better to me than anything currently made by Ferrari, BMW, MB and all Japanese/American makes.
I like it. It's avant garde...something Murcielago and Gallardo sure aren't.

I think reporters should refrain from making judgements regarding personal tastes. Frankly, I don't know what I think of this car because I am compelled to like it simply because I am expected to find it ugly. Instead, if the reported had not flat out told me I was supposed to find it ugly, maybe I would, or maybe I would like it, I just don't know.

This is NOT a lambo ... this is a joke created kid hopped up on energy drinks thinking his version of 3DSMax or Swift3D.
If this car EVER makes the light of day, it'll be a sad day for Lambo .. a sad day for Audi and VW & if Porsche have any say in controlling that group they should FIRE these people NOW
