The everybody-loves-side-vents cutouts, Euro-is-better side marker boil, and It's-a-GM-stupid pustule don't break up that vast space enough.<br><br>And more lights up front, please -- four bulbs stacked vertically in three housings isn't enough. Maybe the STS-V can have a pair of Hellas hanging off the bumper or something.<br><br>I think I saw that interior in a Mercedes E-Class in 1998. At least Cadillac's improving.<br><br>Best news of all -- now that Mercedes, Audi, and BMW all have new or significantly revamped and more powerful high-tech V8s underhood (382hp, 350hp, 360hp), Cadillac has... the same 320hp Northstar. The CTS looks better, will handle better, is about as roomy inside, has a nicer interior, and costs less. <br><br>The main thing the STS needed, more rear seat room, it's not getting.<br><br>I'm also disappointed, but not surprised, to see the headlights unchanged. Sad, because I've ridden in an STS a number of times, and found its interior to be on par with a 2003 S-Type, meaning hard plastics everywhere. Only use of wood was decent. <br><br>With competition from 5 series, E-Class, A6, Infiniti M45, Acura TL, Lexus ES/GS, upcoming Huyndai, Jaguar XF, I just don't see how GM can afford to slow down in such an important area, even at a facelift.
