Wrangler Unlimited not enough? How 'bout a six-door version, with a bed?

So you have decided to take the family on a rugged outdoor adventure. Hunting, fishing, and four-wheelin' are all part of the plan. Sounds like you need a Jeep, probably a Wrangler. But you happen to have six kids and no minivan in the world will get you where you want to go. You really long for something that offers the legendary Jeep off-road prowess, but with seating for eight. Well, my friend, step right up. Back Country Journal, the self-proclaimed "finest hunting and fishing on the web" is here to answer your prayers.
The company offers a range of Wrangler conversions including 4-door stretches, 4-door pickup stretches, and this-here ultimate family adventure vehicle, the 6-door stretch. The company's Custom Stretch Jeep Conversions are actually available in just about any configuration: "Whether you desire full doors, half doors, soft top, lift kits, winches, custom racks, bumpers, lights or anything else you can imagine. And the best news here is that the conversions start at just $18,500! Gulp. They'll convert your current Jeep or even find a locally available one for you. After the conversion, they'll even deliver it to you, anywhere in the world. We can't personally vouch for how well these stretched Jeeps will hold up to trail rides with that extra 6 feet between the wheels, but they sure look like a whole lot of fun. Click through the read link for a whole gallery of some of their other offerings. And happy trails to you.

Wow. Wish I had one in college. Imagine how many girls you could have hanging out of that Wrangler!

Isn't that why they made the commander?

Not everything in autodom has to be in accordance with your sense of practicallity.
Though this would be a very practical vehicle on a resort, or on date night if Hugh Heffner decides to "rough it" with 5 of his favorite playmates.
The Bugatti Veyron is a most impractical vehicle to 99.999999% of all of the people that ever walked the earth.

Kind of reminds me of the stretched Mahindra Jeeps of India but with far better quality.

The company's actually been doing these conversions for a number of years, not really anything new. Definitely unique though. There's a couple of their 4-dr conversions rolling around here locally.

Where would anyone ever drive this thing? It's too rugged to be glam and too glam to be rugged. It belongs nowhere.

Oh boy, I think I just threw-up a smart car in my mouth.
I knew a family friend that worked for jeep and when they assembled the body panels, they had this caulk they would use to try to fill the gaps. I can't imagine how much gunk they have holding this one together.
Isn't this a sign of the Appocolypse. =P

That would be pretty handy for wildlife park or zoo tours. Better than those little golf cart things.

Seems like that would mess with the breakover angle a bit.

They should try perfecting the garbage they already make before trying new body styles. I had the 4 door Wrangler for 3 months and had it serviced no less than 7 times for various problems. 4 times for the roof(hardtop), 2 electrical issues, once for a fit/finish issue with the doors, and once for a tire. The thing was a piece of crap. It's gone now.

This has to be a joke, and not even a very good joke!!! Is this the result of gear grease and pot all rolled into a noise absorbing cardboard pad???

anyone ever heard of departure angles? great to fit alot of people, plenty to help out when the thing gets high-centered. looks more like something to be pulled behind a old man's rv or sitting on 28" rims in rap video than a trail rig. hope i will get the chance to winch one of these jack-asses out of somwhere they have no idea how to get out of

I would never buy a minvan like that. It doesn't look at all appealing. If I am going to buy a Jeep, I would buy a regular Jeep. To me its a waste of money.
