Live from Geneva, it's the Opel GTC concept!

Opel took the official wraps off their new hotness, the Gran Turismo Concept, and if there's anything that could get Opel's sexyback, this is it. As far as concepts go, it's not the most radical design, but it probably gives the best hint at the future of the Opel abroad and possibly Saturn here at home. It's a stunner and now we've got live pics. Check 'em in the gallery and keep coming back for more from Geneva as the day progresses.

Saturn definitely needs this car. Then people would really be saying "WOW! That's a Saturn?!!?"
I do think the front end will get changed somewhat for production. As well as the tailpipes and wheels. But otherwise it's great! Hurry up Saturn bring this to the US!

This is the precursor to one of the new Global Epsilon (aka Epsilon II) vehicles. Give it a couple years and you may find something similar to this with the Vectra badge on it.

Lol it does look like a blatant G35 rip off, but meh, the G35 is a great looking silhouette of a car. Bring this over as a saturn... do it now.

In the overhead picture of this Opel, it appears to have a hatch based on the cut line near the back of the roof. That would only add to my excitement as the G35, as wonderful as it is, has a very narrow little trunk. Would look great as a Saturn in the next couple years - especially given that Nissan will be releasing their Altima Coupe later this year to compete with the Accord Coupe.

Yes, it looks like a G35, but designs like this are needed in Detroit like a man dieing of thirst needs water. The Saturn Aura, Ford Fusion, and a few others are a good start, but they are the exception not the rule. Designers in Detroit I hope are finally seeing the light. Lets hope.

I'm with Todd, who cares if american designers need to ape obvious designs of other manufactures, at least they'll be good looking.

Hey the tuner down the street just called me to tell you he wants his Scion Tc back, he spent alot of money trying to make it look like a future 350z... How was he supposed to know that the opel logo had a z in it....

Get rid of the smiley grille and the two vaginas on either side and it might be OK.
