Outside of that nice tailgate treatment, all the lines are exceptionally simple and there is no one thing I can really point to that makes this car look so good, but it clearly is the best looking exterior in its class. By contrast, the interior IP is OK, but nothing particularly special. I'm not sure I would trust a Fiat's reliability though.

Typesbad

Comments on Geneva Motor Show: Fiat Bravo in the flesh

BELLISIMA!!___________
Fiat always made its small cars cuddly cute and its sedans look like taxis.

QUESTION: I KNOW this car would sell in Soutern Cal to the young and hip. All penned 100% in Italy and if you look at the lines in any of the aforementioned (a little less so in the Aveo), you'll see the commonality, especially so among the shoulder and boot lines between the Fiat, the lovely Brera and the Reno.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love the Brera as it is just gorgeous but I bring this up for a point. People appropriately wax poetic about the great curves and overall designs of the Italian bodied autos without either knowing or realising that we do have access to autos clad in Italian suits. It just happens to be that those which we have access to are generally half German, half Korean breeds wearing said Italian suit.

Of course there is something to be said about the pure bred Italians, a certain mystique (not to mention reliability/quirkiness factor) which nothing short of a pure bred Italian would provide. We know Alfa is on its way back, maybe one day we'll see Fiat again on our shores. One can hope.

Eric
http://www.europeanisation.net

Eric Elinow

Comments on Geneva Motor Show: Fiat Bravo in the flesh

Looks good and having driven a turbodiesel fiat sedan in Germany I believe the 150hp turbodiesel version will have plenty of performance.

Howard

Comments on Geneva Motor Show: Fiat Bravo in the flesh

a bunch of interesting design details. I like the rear air vent, that's cute.

What an absolutely gorgeous design, though. It's a similar car to a golf and they're attractive in totally different ways. the Golf is very stout looking and solid... the Fiat is sort of slinky and sexy... but they seem to be very similar products.

The golf looks like it has the Bravo beat in terms of interior. ALthough the Fiat's interior certainly is attractive.

It also looks like it has the same window switches as my MKV Jetta.
