It didn't take long for right-wing critics to start calling Al Gore a hypocrite. The Tennessee Center for Policy Research had nothing better to do than sift through the former VP's electric bills. They claim Gore's Nashville home uses 20 times the national average, and its consumption has actually risen since the release of his Academy Award-winning documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth." Ecorazzi has balanced out the critics, saying Gore is offsetting his energy use by purchasing blocks of green power. He's also installing solar panels and changing to energy-saving household items such as light bulbs. In other words, the big picture shows that Al Gore does have an enourmous electric bill but he does what he can to reduce it and offset the impact.
