Hmmm... to me it kinda looks like a Viper and a Honda S2000 (or BMW Z3) had a baby.
I don't really like the grill that the Chrysler Group has been putting on their cars now. It just reminds me too much of the trucks, and IMHO it should stay there.

Oh god no... a dodge sportscar that is not Tarzan like the Viper is growing on me.

The DEMON has definite Demon look.
The last video without the sound had several comments about its ugly looks. I totally disagree. It is an agressive looking automobile and honors the DEMON badge it has been given.
The front end is a continuation of the Dodge front end theme; it is recognizable as a Dodge when you see it.
This is no different than many other manufacturers such as BMW.
The other important features should be an engine worthy of a mean demonic heart , big brakes to offer a smooth super quick stop and a suspension that will give it true sports car handling that has that real road gripping feel.
Looks very good as it is now. Wonder if there will be any modifications, if and when a decision is made to build it for the market?

An interesting design, but to me it looks to substantial and not nimble. It looks like someone designed a sports car of Viper proportions, then put it in a crusher and made it narrower. From the rear you'd think it was based on a small FF hatch.
But hey, the world needs more small FR cars, especially when they have (gasp) three pedals.

They were spot on with the Razor. This thing on the other hand, let's just say if it was only car to be produced ever, I'd take a bicycle.

Whats up with this car's lame 172 horse power, I thought it was supposed to be an offspring to the Viper. This car is pathetic, I think I'll go buy a magnum or something.

"Whats up with this car's lame 172 horse power"
Well, let's see... it would compete directly with the Solstice and Miata.
Solstice: 177 HP
Miata: 166 HP
You don't need 500HP to have fun if the car is light. It's called power to weight ratio.
Looks are subjective (and I happen to like it) but I don't think anyone can argue that this thing would be a blast to drive. If they produce it and price it anywhere near the rumored target of $15k, it will be VERY hard for me to resist. They would sell them as fast as they could crank them out. Just imagine what it would (will?) do when they drop the new 300+HP SRT4 engine into it!
Bring it!

i'd buy a mini viper, now offer a coupe that has the same teardrop shape as the 1996 GTS, then i'll write my check

I agree with #1, it looks like a blend of the Viper/S2000 - but I'm not sure about that wimpy rear. Will this be a similar story to the Crossfire, based on the chassis of the current SLK, or is it a new platform?

^good point.

Well it looks a lot better than some of the other recent creations of Dodge and Chrysler. It's also more masculine than others in its direct competition (Solstice and Miata)... but when it comes to looks, I'd still pick a Saturn Sky over this.

It's really ugly. I hope they rethink it.

The car looks better in motion. I'm also not real fond of the Dodge face. I don't know if the cross hair grill has really looked "right" on anything since the '57 Chrysler 300. But its Dodges face and that's all there is to it.
They probably shouldn't build it. I mean we have three light-wieght roadsters now. (or one and two-halves) How big can the light-weight roadster market be? Chryco has bigger concerns. Then again, they did develop the Viper the last time they were on the skids so what do I know?

personally i dont like the look of the car. what is important for a car in this segment is that SOME people LOVE IT. a car doesnt have to appeal to everyone, just those who would be willing to buy the car.
are there people out there who love this design? is anyone saying that if DCX builds this car they will put a depost down tomorrow?
i know i would if they built the dodge razor
can anyone explain to me why the lightweight roadster segment is overcrowded but NOONE WANTS TO BUILD A COUPE??????

Awesome looking roadster! It has a more serious appearance than the Solstice and I like it more. If Dodge would build this so that it looks exactly like the concept they would have a smash hit I think.
If Dodge doesn't build this, then WTH are they creating a concept for? It sure doesn't make me want their other cars. Cars that look great, perform well and are reliable make me want the same... not the manufactures concepts!

May be a good car, but i would not anything with the name Demon. Stupid.

mikey 7:04AM (2/28/2007)
The name 'Demon' has some Dodge history behind it, folks - remember the Demon as a rebadged Plymouth Duster?
That being said - Dart is probably a better name for this car, and with a toned-down crosshair grille to boot.
