Wow, what a wasted chance to make an affordable roadster, this thing is FUGLY....
I think a better way to go would have been to simply copy the viper styling in a much smaller package, instead this thing looks like its got a truck's face and a fat overstyled butt....

Now that GM is sharing its platforms with Chysler this car makes a little bit more sense, although this concept version looks a LOT like a rebodied Miata with a modified interior.

Too bad no high beams. Bi-projectors don't count

Well the good news is that they will never make this thing, so I for one am glad that it looks like crap, so it won't bother me when it never comes out. (Like the Copperhead, Slingshot, Razor, ect.) Its when they make something sweet and don't follow through that kills me. Too many times I have had my hopes up that what show is what they go with and it ends up being scrapped. I am a die hard Mopar fan and as of late it has been killing me to see what DXC has designed and rolled out. Please get a new design team for the next set of vehicles you are killing me here.

You heard it here first; the Dodge demon will be based on the Miata platform.
This is a rebodied Miata, and I don't think that DCX would be sloppy enough to use a car so obviously based on a Miata for the concept unless the real car would be based on a Miata. This makes a lot of sense because the MX5 has a very feminine image (despite its amazing racing heritage), and even though this Dodge is ugly it would probably give the platform a bit more appeal to men. Here are the comparison pictures:

When you look at the windshield and a-pillar, front overhang, and interior layout they VERY similar.
You can tell it's not a Chery because the doors stay shut during this video.

Subaru took away their ugly. So a void was created, this vehicle was made to fill that void.

Looks pretty good but once again, most see DCX and say nasty, but if it had a T on the front it would be Hot, shut up!! DCX makes nice cars....

This one looks more "production ready" than "show car". More so than even the Hornet concept. Add off the shelf seats, add fake carbon fiber and ready to sell. I like it better than the GM roadsters

I need to see it in person but so far I like it, reminds me of a Ford Street Ka

You know the first time that the Dodge "truck" grille showed up it was on the Dodge Viper. I have never heard anyone complain about it looking like a truck. Yes the newer renditions are a little gaudy, but I don't think they look like truck grilles. I think that if they were to make the grille shorter and wider you wouldn't be saying that it looked like a truck.

Dodge, REVISIT THE COPPERHEAD!!! Way, way, WAY better looking car than this. Throw the Copperhead on the new SLK platform, give it a soft top, and build one fewer than the market demands. When the domestics realize that's the way you sell cars, their financial perdicaments will fade away.
