RR of the Day: 1991 Chevrolet S-10 Baja

Flickr user "91 s-10baja" shares with us his -- you guessed it -- '91 Chevy S-10 Baja in all its trick-looking bestickered glory. We love the simple, straightforward look of the old squared-off S-10s in general, and the Baja package that was offered from '88 to '91 really dialed things up a notch.

s-10 baja interiorIn addition to the 4.3L Vortec V6, tough suspension and standard 4x4 setup, the Bajas also got a huge dollop of racy style right from the factory with two-tone paint, racer-look decals, blacked-out grillework with red bowtie, good-looking alloy wheels wrapped in meaty white-letter rubber, a roll bar with off-road lights, and a tubular front bumper extension with fog lights. Skid plates, a bed-mounted spare and tailgate netting completed the package. s10baja's truck was a '91, and his is equipped the red embroidered seats that were only available that model year.

This S-10 Baja appears to be pretty stock and very nicely kept. It's better-looking than the current Colorado/Canyon twins (in our opinion, at least), and the Baja package is a favorite of ours dating back to when it was first introduced. That's enough to make it today's Reader Ride of the Day. Nice truck, s10baja!
