Spy Shots: Mercedes SLK gets a facelift
Like so many of its buyers, the Mercedes SLK is getting a little work done on itself. A camouflaged test mule was spotted running around the streets of Stuttgart, Germany, near DaimlerChrysler headquarters wearing some bandages over its lower face and rear end.
Hard to tell, but from the presence of the disguises we can anticipate a new set of headlights along with a new front bumper, and around back a little liposuction in the form of a revised rear bumper and a fresh set of tail lights.
Don't expect anything revolutionary here, just a mild refreshening to help us remember why we liked the hot little roadster in the first place.

Nip and Tuck here and there...just like their drivers.
Now will they update the Crossfire too?

Please tell me they will update the Crossfire as well, because it would be a great car if the platform was more modern, and I love the Mercedes SLK, I want some more powerful engines

I wonder if this means an SLK 63 is in the works?

JayDub, I would not doubt the consideration that they are considering they seem to be sticking the engine in everything including the C-class

Must be a great car, I have seen one on the road in the past two years and I live a mile away from the Dealer. My bad I forgot that an over priced cramped but cool looking two seater is just what everyone wants... Not.....

the SLK is nice but it needs more room. the wrap around dash is claustrophobic. for close to 50K.

@Sleeper: Maybe not in your neck of the woods, but globally speaking the SLK sells like hotcakes. It is one of the best selling convertibles in Europe, which is amazing considering the steep prices.

A little tuck is fine.
Crossfire? You guys forgot it is based on the previous SLK, is ridiculously small looking and small inside for this country, and was dumped on Overstock.com. If they had stretched it 6 inches it would have done better.
Updates are more likely for cars that actually sold, not sat like cute pieces of dead meat on the lots, lol.

This SLK update is great news for dental hygienists with sugar daddies.
